Isaiah 55:8-9
By Marcia Ardis, Kids' EE Director for North America

"Just as the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are My thoughts higher than your thoughts and My ways higher than your ways." Isaiah 55:8-9

Please allow me to share our recent Isaiah 55:8-9 testimonies with you:

  • 30 Kids' EE Teacher/Trainers completed our intensive clinic training in California and Florida. Canada, Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana and the USA were represented. We were blessed multi-culturally with Vietnamese, Korean, Hispanic and Indonesian churches.
  • During the Ft. Lauderdale clinic OJT (On-the-Job-Training), 25 children in an after-school program trusted in Jesus for eternal life.
  • Our California clinicians joined 20 teams of 5th and 6th graders as they demonstrated their passion for sharing the gospel. During 3 OJT experiences, 20 children received Christ as Savior… and many more received assurance of eternal life through their trust in Jesus.
  • Through our 2004-05 USA clinics, 5 countries, new to Kids' EE, have requested to host Kids' EE clinics.
  • In September, Eurasia is hosting a Teacher-Training Session for teachers who were equipped in Kids' EE during the past 3 years. This year Eurasia will host 34 Kids' EE clinics.
  • AWANA and Kids' EE are in prayer and communication concerning the Lord's leading in working together to equip kids to share Jesus.

Kids' EE ministry partners are in prayer and support. They are rejoicing with me!

Yes, God is at work around the world equipping adults and children to share the good news of "eternal life through Christ Jesus."  It is very exciting to see that God is at work right here in the United States reclaiming His Christian nation to Himself ... through His children young and old!

May our Lord be glorified as you pray for and support Kids' EE in North America and around the world.

Two Audiences in Kids' EE: Adults and Children

Kids' EE reaches 2 audiences: adults and children. Biblical and intergenerational studies point to the need of bringing families together in spiritual growth and ministry. Kids' EE does exactly this... Together, adults and children are grounded in their faith and are equipped to share Jesus.

Let me share an example from Central Baptist Church, Crossville TN:

"We are ready to begin 'EE 9-99.' If you are between the ages of 9 and 99, you qualify! Together we can learn to share the gospel. The harvest field is unlimited … neighbors, family members, school and work associates, people rocking on the chairs in front of Cracker Barrel. Yes, the places we can go are unlimited! 'The things of this world grow strangely dim' when families interact with those in the harvest field — offering them the greatest news, about the greatest gift … eternal life through Christ Jesus."

Touch a Life … Are YOU ready to make a difference?

Cabrini-Green, Chicago, home to nearly 4,000 children, is one of the nation's biggest, oldest and poorest housing projects. In the center of Cabrini-Green is Kids' Club, a faith-based after-school program operating under the umbrella of The Moody Church.

Five years ago, Don and Suzy Warren introduced Kids' EE to Kids' Club. Kids' Club trains every staff member, volunteer and child in Kids' EE.

Let me share just one testimony of the power of the gospel at Cabrini-Green's Kids' Club:

Last year David was teaching Kids' EE to 54 of the students at Kids' Club. (Kids' EE is the first enrichment class there.) After teaching the commitment unit, David mentioned that if anyone wanted to make a commitment to Jesus, they could follow him to another room, a smaller room entitled "Joseph's Coat Closet." Forty two of the 54 kids crowded into that small room!

David noticed that Sholanda followed the kids in. Sholanda had made a commitment to Jesus the previous week. To make a little more room in the "closet," David reminded her that she doesn't need to do this again. Sholanda commented "I just wanted to welcome the other kids into the family!"

Sholanda recognized that a special time, an eternal time, was about to happen in these kids' lives and she wanted to be there to welcome them into God's family.

Donnita Travis, Director of Kids' Club in Cabrini-Green shares this story about Sholanda to emphasize that "Kids do get it! The gospel works and the Kids' EE framework allows all to understand God's plan of salvation and gift of eternal life."

Go Tell It On A (West Virginia) Mountain!
By Kristine Rollins

Two West Virginia PCA churches joined ranks to minister to children in an after-school setting. About 15 adults made up the core group of team leaders, and about 25 children participated in the program. Because of a burden to share Christ with these children, Kids' EE was chosen to be the basis of the outreach. This is the third time we have adapted Kids' EE in a Gospel outreach ministry to kids in a public school setting.

Our blessings have been many as a result of the Kids' EE ministry. Children ranged from 6 -11, and recently our youngest child recited John 3:16 from memory to the whole group! Weekly, kids took turns leading Proverbs 3:6 memory verse with motions … "in ALL your ways acknowledge God, and He WILL make your paths straight." Scripture memory is the focus of team time, along with take-home crafts and take-home truths (trinkets that allow children to share the gospel).

The greatest thrill was the testimony of "JT." The first time he visited he was found stuffing articles in his pockets (hot take-home truths)! His first visit was cut short, and he didn't choose to return for a couple weeks. Soon after returning we saw a change. One week JT told his team leader he had accepted Christ at a church meeting......the next week JT asked if he could stand up before the group and tell them he "asked Jesus into his heart." Also, JT was singing for the first time, and taking turns reciting memory verses!!

Our "Zacchaeus" had come down from the tree at our LORD's command! Please pray for this young man and the other children, that the reality of knowing Christ would be evidenced in their every day living, and that they would be raised up to GO Tell it on our Mountains!

New From Kids' EE...

Recently completed and now on the Kids' EE website is an animated version of the Kids' EE Gospel presentation. It is a great evangelism tool that you can share with others by emailing them a link to the presentation. You can even place a link to it on your church or personal website!

It is also a great way for kids who are in EE to practice the presentation.

You will find the animated gospel presentation here.

Clinic Highpoints: Fresno, CA Clinicians, May 2005

Clinic evaluation responses to the question "What was the high point of the clinic for you?"

  • "It was OJT (On-the-Job-Training)! You'd never have convinced me before I did it though … Seeing the kids in action … The scariest but best was OJT … OJT and the Scripture Fun Fair … Interaction with the kids … Seeing kids accept Christ … The number of children who came to know the Lord during OJT. Praise the Lord! It shows how well this ministry works! … Teaching the class … OJT on Saturday afternoon."
  • "It is obvious that OJT teaches truth – it works!"
  • Linda MacCubbin, who attended the Fresno clinic wrote, "I am so excited about what I learned during the Fresno clinic.  I told the staff it was the most important week of my entire Christian life.  I feel like I finally have a tool to share the GOOD NEWS!  I told them that they better get ready because once the kids have this tool this church is going to grow like crazy because kids never come to church alone!  This Sunday I will address one of the Adult Sunday School classes that is filled with prayer warriors to enlist them as my prayer partners. They can hardly wait to hear all about Evangelism Explosion for kids!  I led a homeless man to Christ last Wednesday; he said he never had the good news explained so clearly before.  I gave him a Bible and a copy of Purpose Driven Life.  Things are happening!  Thank you so much for all you do to equip us with this life saving tool!  You're in my prayers!  Keep in touch!"

"Bad News ... Good News" Activity for Unit 9. We Are All Sinners and Cannot Save Ourselves

In the MAN unit (Unit 9 in Kids' EE Teacher's Manual), ideas and materials are provided for children to make a chain of sins.

Have children write an assortment of sins, one on each white paper strip. Children glue these strips to dark paper strips. Then they paste the strips together, forming a CHAIN OF SINS.

At the front of the chain, add a white strip that says "For the wages of sin is death." At the end of the chain, add a white strip that says "but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus." Romans 6:23

Please Note: Never end the MAN Unit without confirming with the children that there is a solution to our sin problem … Jesus. Jesus came for each of them. Share with them the Good News of Jesus!
