The Burning Heart: Reaching North America for Christ

A recent morning devotion reminded me of God's calling on my life … God's vision to bring the Gospel to countless neighborhoods throughout North America. Kids' EE is the perfect tool. Kids' EE trains adults to bring Jesus to children and families … Winning them to a saving faith in Jesus, Grounding them in their faith, and Equipping them to share Jesus.

God is giving churches and ministries throughout North America this same vision, this same "burning heart" described in Oswald Chamber's devotion below. Do not lose sight of our responsibility to bring the message of salvation to children and families.

"Did not our heart burn within us?" (Luke 24:32, on the road to Emmaus)

"We need to learn this secret of the burning heart. Suddenly Jesus appears to us, the fires are kindled, we have wonderful visions, and then we have to learn to keep the secret of the burning heart that will go through anything. It is the dull, bald, dreary, commonplace day, with commonplace duties and people, that kills the burning heart unless we have learned the secret of abiding in Jesus."

In Luke 19:10, Jesus says "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which is lost." Join Jesus in His work by bringing the salvation message to countless families throughout North America.

Catching the Final Wave: Kids' EE Testimony

I have been involved in EE for over 5 years. A recent visit was so incredibly unique! Before I share, I must preface by saying I was doubly blessed by this visit because it was my daughter Emmaleigh that God used.

"Catching the Final Wave" …

It would have been easy for the team to be discouraged as they approached the gated community, but they took the next logical step; they called the home number. Because the family doesn't want to miss an important call, they forward all of their calls to a cell phone.

Sydney was not going to be home any time soon as she was returning from a day at the beach. Emmaleigh (my daughter) politely told Sydney's mom why the team had come to visit and mom was sad they were not able to be there so she handed the phone to Sydney to say hello.

What happened next was all God. Conversation led to spiritual things and as the team returned to the church, Emmaleigh presented the Gospel to Sydney via cell phone. In the words of Emmaleigh, the phone ‘magically' came into perfect reception as she began to share the Gospel. Stopping at each point to make sure Sydney understood, Emmaleigh was being used by God. We can now call Sydney our sister. How about that for a "perfect wave?"

There is something about the boldness of children I cannot explain. I know that I am blessed to be around these kids and see how God can work when we just make ourselves available.

Matching Funds Grant

Be a regular donor (monthly, quarterly or annually). Your gifts will qualify for our Matching Funds grant. "Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Cor 9:7)

Kids' EE Objectives

Win children to saving faith in Jesus at a time when they are most receptive to receiving Him as Savior. In North America, over 70% of children do not receive Biblical instruction. This is our Harvest Field.

Ground children in their faith in Jesus. Saved children who are not grounded often stray from their faith in Jesus.

Equip children to share Jesus, at a time when they are establishing habits for a lifetime. Children and parents have continuous opportunities to bring the message of eternal life to those around them.
